:reindeer pasta:

I need to make another trip to Ikea to buy more reindeer pasta as it went down a treat!!!
Never seen the girls demolish their food so fast.

:gingerbread house:

Remember the  gingerbread house  from Ikea?  Well today the girls finally got around to decorating it (after I put the broken bits back together!)

Here is Kelsi's side and end of the house

Eryn's end and side of the house

I think they did a fantastic job.
It's the first time we have made a gingerbread house and i think it could become a new Christmas tradition.

:reindeers:

These little babies were 50% off in Lincraft on Saturday.

I have sprayed one white and one to go. I need to add the ribbon and bells.
Not sure if I should have sprayed them red? What do you think?
I am now thinking of just the right place to put them.

:saturday in the city:

At this festive time of the year, a trip into the city is a must to see the Myers Christmas windows.

But firstly it was a quick (I'm not sure that is entirely true, but you know how it is) trip to Ikea as we needed some new knobs for our bedside tables that we have been working on (photo's to come) and some other bits and pieces.
I went for a wander through the food section and came across this.....

A ginger bread house where all we have to do is make the royal icing and decorate.
The girls were very excited as they have already started their school holidays and this will be the perfect way to fill in some time.
Then we founds these...

Just perfect for a Christmas pasta salad

After Ikea it was off to China town for some  Yum Cha

The girls did try different things but they were happy when the spring rolls came out!!

Then off to Myers

They were really lovely and both the girls really enjoyed them as did we.

We did also go into Santaland, for a short time only and we also made our way to the Casino for their Christmas display.
Chocolates bought from Haighs, sandals for the both girls, trip into Lincraft and we were finished.
It was a great day, we left home at 10am and returned at 9pm..
Everyone had sore feet but worth every bit of it.

:more wrapping:

Another wrapped present using my stamp, this time I added a little bell..

I think another Christmas themed stamp needs to be carved!!

:my creative space:

This week has been about making some little goodies for the girls classmates.

First up Rudolph using the same method as these

Then some rudolph noses

And some reindeer poo which is ALWAYS a hit with the boys.

The girls finish school on Friday so hopefully I will get a chance to do some sewing over the next few weeks..

If you are looking for a little inspiration then head over to kootoyoo

NB:Thanks for all the kind comments but just to let you know I didn't come up with the idea of reindeer poo and rudolph noses. I saw them somewhere in blogland (sorry don't remember where) and have made them for the last few years. Just wanted to clarify.

:christmas craft:

I need help and your thinking caps on!!!!

I am helping run a Christmas craft club for the kids at school ranging from Prep to Year 4 (6-10 years)  and
would love to know if anyone had some great Christmas craft  ideas or websites.
The craft would need to be completed in an hour session if possible..
Thanks.
