:strawberries:

We received 6 free punnets of strawberries from some friends and that can only mean.....

and

To make this strawberry jam I use a really easy recipe  from "The PWMU Centenary Cookbook"

Strawberry jam (microwave)
Makes 2 cups

2 punnets (500g) strawberries
2 cups (500g) of sugar
1/4 cup  (60ml) lemon juice

Wash and hull strawberries, place in large bowl with lemon juice, cook on high for 4 minutes.  Stir in sugar, cook on high for 20 mins or until jam jells, stirring occcasionally during cooking.  Stand for 5 mins before pouring into warmed, sterilised jars, seal while hot.

NB: Any berries can be substituted for strawberries, vary cooking time if necessary
I cook jam for an extra 4 minutes.
