:my creative space:

A couple of weeks ago when I was at Ikea, I picked up a packet of these cork trivets.
They definitely needed a make over so some simple removable (to throw into washing machine to clean off slops)  fabric covers were sewn.

The fabric is from Ikea too.  I find it is a little heavier and perfect for this kind of sewing.
I am going to make some christmas covers as I think they would look great on the christmas table.

  1. What a great idea! Our cork is stained now after years of use - might have to borrow your idea and snazzy ours up too! Thanks!

  9. I covered some of these too, then Command adhesive-d (I made a new verb!) to the wall- cork board! A few circles looks great, and they come off easily, too. Love the covers, the washable idea is good. Don't pot holders etc get so dirty too?
