:my creative space:

As it is the start of Spring, not that you would know it here in Melbourne as the sun has only been making the odd appearance, I decided I would make a start on freshening up some of the rooms in our house..
First on my list of things to make was a new bath mat for our ensuite.
Again Ikea fabric has come up with the goods...
This is a VERY EASY AND QUICK project.

I used an old mat as a template and cut 1 piece from main fabric and 1 from backing fabric (terry towelling )

Place right sides together leaving an opening for turning.
Turn right side out and press.
Sew around the entire mat (I used a  longer stitch length) making sure you sew the opening closed.
I sewed 2 more rows just to give the effect of a border.

and voila,  you're done.
It's that easy.

Now take it to your bathroom and try it out...

Next on my list is the kitchen.
Some new tea towels, napkins and place mats.

I would also like some HELP...
I am wanting to buy some personalised sew on name labels.
Does anyone have any recommendations??
Thanks.
